Following a world tour, Pedro Jóia performs at Teatro São Luiz to present a repertoire in which he combines various award-winning works from throughout his career with his most recent album, Mosaico – a return to originals, in a record that travels from fado to flamenco, through oriental music. The guitarist goes on stage accompanied by percussionist José Salgueiro, in a show with special guest appearances. It’s a chance to revisit albums such as Variações Sobre Carlos Paredes, À Espera de Armandinho, Zeca and Mosaico.
Pedro Jóia has a unique artistic trajectory, having reached No. 1 on Portugal’s top sales with the album Zeca and having been honoured with two Carlos Paredes Awards. He has collaborated with artists such as Ney Matogrosso, Gilberto Gil, Simone, Mariza, Ricardo Ribeiro, Resistência, among many others. Over the course of his career, he has often performed as a soloist with several orchestras and chamber groups, such as Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa, Orquestra Nacional da Venezuela, Orquestra Clássica da Madeira, Orquestra Chinesa de Macau, Sinfonietta de Lisboa, Orquestra de Câmara Meridional or Quarteto Arabesco.
